Why Michael Schumacher Could Win The 2011 World Championship

Posted on Feb 29, 2012

Michael Schumacher?s 2010 comeback was somewhat abortive.  The results, the driving standard and the overtakes were well below par for the former champion.  He even let his team mate beat him for the first time in his career.  So why can Schumacher, the fallen Ferrari hero, win the world championship for an 8th time? It?s [...]

The Daytona 500 has been postponed for the first time in its 54-year history, with the race now set to take place on Monday after being rained off on Sunday. Ferrari F620 GT

Posted on Feb 23, 2012

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard about a replacement for the Ferrari 599 Fiorano, but this is the first time we can offer more details about the new sports car. For starters, expect it to make its official at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show in March with sales beginning later in the year.

The 599 replacement will be built on an all-new chassis and will borrow design elements from both the 2012 Ferrari FF and the Ferrari California. The model will get modified bumpers and new headlamps, a modified bonnet, and a new exhaust system with tips that sit higher than on the current 599.

Fans of true sportscars can also breathe easier knowing that the replacement 599 will not be a hybrid model. The new GT will be powered by a 6.3 liter V12 engine that will deliver more than 700 HP. With this output, the GT will be more powerful than both the 599 (620 HP) and the current FF (660 HP), but more importantly, it will beat out the Lamborghini Aventador (700 HP 6.5 liter V12 engine). The engine will send its power to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission with an F1 style electronic differential.

UPDATE 02/20/2012: Ferrari’s successor for the 599 GTB – or 620 GT as it has been rumored to be called – will make its world debut on February 22. Yes, just in two days from now, so stay tuned! Also, FerrariChat has unveiled a spy image that reveals the bare back end of the sports car – and it looks quite aggressive if we may add!

UPDATE 02/21/2012: Ferrari has unveiled a fist teaser video for the upcoming 620 GT – or the successor for the 599 GTB. The teaser video comes with an official launch date – February 29th, and not 22nd as it was rumored yesterday. Also, Ferrari has promised this will be the most powerful model they have ever built. So, stay tuned!

Ferrari F620 GT originally appeared on topspeed.com on Tuesday, 21 February 2012 08:00 EST.

1970 Plymouth Road Runner Hemi

Posted on Feb 23, 2012

After finishing up my Chevelle, this afternoon I fired up a new project already…..

I've had this project on the backburner for somewhere around six months now, and have conversed with Fury3 several times about some of the details involving this build.  A very knowledgeable and helpful fellow he is. Cool  As the titile says, it will be Hemi powered.  The engine will be sourced from the '71 'cuda convertible.  Colors will be In Violet (Model Master's Plum Crazy lacquer will be substituted in) with a white interior.

I've already started the undertaking of removing the heavy mold lines in the body, along with the wheel trim.

There are also two small gouges on the passenger side rocker panel that will need some putty.

That's all for now, but more should be comming soon…..

]gonna call this one done…for now…maybe a seat replacement, the kit seat has a really bad ejector pin mark on it.  the engine is fully wired with linkage for the blower hat and it also has all fuel lines.  the pulleys were replaced with some i made on my lathe.  i also made the front coil overs on my lathe using the springs from a bic lighter. paint is just testors with wet look clear on the frame and dupont eurathane clear on the body over testors blue.  i didnt like the chute pack in the kit so i replaced it with the one from the stone woods and cook willys.  the chute cord is some braded cord that i got from joann fabrics…kind of a neat little addition.  as for now i am leaving the spoiler off, not sure if i like it. this was a quick and fun build…something a little different from the norm. enjoy

Looking for 1/25 AMT 1932 Ford Coupe body

Posted on Feb 20, 2012

Help!  I purchased a built-up 1/25 AMT 1932 Ford 5-window Coupe off of Ebay, and when it arrived, it was in worse shape than I expected.  I got most of the built-up cleanly torn apart, but my attempts to "save" the body ended poorly.  As you can see in the photo below, the driver's side door is damaged beyond repair.

So, does anyone have an old 1/25 AMT 1932 Ford 5-window Coupe body in their parts box, that they'd trade to me?  It only has to have a good driver's-side to it, as I can perform some surgery to cut a good driver's side and put it into my body.

I have a fairly extensive parts box to trade from.  Thanks!
